She began her professional career as a dancer in London where she was introduced to the Pilates Method by Alan Herman in 1983.

She has been training teachers internationally for nearly 30 years and currently has over 3000 teachers in 41 countries teaching her method.

This desire to work according to the female anatomy and physiology has led Carolyne to continue her studies of other modalities such as myofascial release (she is a John Barnes practitioner).
